On November 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., we cordially invite you to an interdisciplinary seminar on spontaneous memorials by Dr. Stepan Zakharkevich from the European Humanities University (EHU).

The seminar will be held in English in the Event Hall of the Lithuanian Institute of History (Tilto g. 17, Vilnius).

S. Zakharkevich holds a doctorate in philosophy. His lecture, "Spontaneous Memorials to the Deceased Protest Participants in 2020 in Minsk as Performative Political Practices," is dedicated to the events of 2020 in Belarus.

During the 2020 protests in Belarus, spontaneous memorials to fallen protesters became a key element in expressing emotions and strengthening solidarity among protesters.
